With potent antiseptic and anti-microbial properties, lavender oil can protect wounds, increase cell growth to promote quicker healing and lessen the appearance of scare. As a result, lavender oil has been used as a natural ointment for wounds, scars and bruising and is a favorite for homeopathic remedies.
You can apply a small amount directly to skin or mix several drops into salve or lotion.
